Staying Sane in Stressful Times

This is a blog I am randomly starting for a library class. I have occasionally blogged in the past and have mixed feelings about it. I think doing one for whatever job I wind up with could be interesting (providing people resources and such). I thought it would be easier to start one.

Right now, I have taken on a lot this semester. I'm really overwhelmed, but the one thing that is keeping me sane is knowing that I have two vacations coming up. One is to visit my sister in San Francisco over spring break, and the other is visiting a friend in Lisbon, Portugal. I haven't had much of a vacation since last year. I did take a random trip here or there to upstate New York or to Chicago, but last year I consider my vacations to be my trip to Madrid in April and my trip to San Francisco in March.

Knowing that I'm going to Lisbon in May is also helping me keep up with exercise. I have randomly tried to keep food and exercise blogs, but I inevitably fall off from those. Knowing I have to be beach ready is really helping me to make sure that I work out...which additionally helps me to stay sane.

I really hope this semester doesn't end in disappointment, but I am certainly happy to know that I'll be on a plane out of here soon enough.
